At present, the total mileage of Greater Bay Area's railway network has exceeded 2300 kilometers and the travelling time among major GBA cities is within one hour, said Li Jing, chief planner of the Department of Transport of Guangdong, at a press conference highlighting Guangdong's transportation development.

The fifth plenary session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress is to be held from January 20 to January 23, according to a press conference held on Thursday.

On January 12, Guangdong held a press conference on its "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of health undertakings.

On December 15, the Information Office, People’s Government of Guangdong Province held a press conference announcing that Guangdong will establish a five-level(provincial, city, county, town, and village) forest chief scheme by the end of this year. At present, the "Implementation Opinions Regarding the Implementation of the Forest Chief Scheme" has been issued.

Guangdong is to build an observation network for earthquakes that cover land and waters off shore with monitoring capacity significantly increased, according to the province’s earthquake prevention and disaster reduction plan for the 14th five-year period (2021-2025).

On November 1, Guangdong issued a temporary measures to expand the Qualified Domestic Limited Partnership (QDLP) scheme from Shenzhen to the whole province. The program allows foreign and domestic asset managers to raise RMB from high net worth and institutional investors in China for the purposes of overseas investments.
